Current Situation
Heavy Monsoon rains and flooding in the Sutlej River have affected seven districts in Pakistan’s Punjab Province – Kasur, Okara, Bahawalpur, Pakpattan, Vehari, Bahawalnagar, and Lodhran. Over 380,000 people – mostly women and children have been displaced and are taking refuge on the highways and temporary camps with a severe lack of basic amenities, including food, water, and health & hygiene supplies.
Around 160,000 acres of farmland with standing crops have been submerged, and several hundred villages inundated with flood water, causing further damage, loss of livelihoods, and food insecurity to the affected communities.
Many areas of Pakistan are still recovering from the devastation of extreme monsoon rains and floods in 2022, which submerged nearly one-third of the country and killed more than one thousand people.
The Government of Punjab has established relief camps for flood-affected internally displaced persons (IDPs) in affected districts. Most of these camps have been set up in government school buildings, sheltering around 10,000 persons, primarily women and children.
HADI Relief’s partners are in Pakistan, providing hot meals, water, food supplies, nonfood items, and hygiene supplies to flood-affected families in Khairpur Tamewali, District Bahawalpur.

Gaza has been portrayed as a “prison.” Numerous years of limitations on movement, along with blockades, have left about 2 million occupants, making it one of the most densely populated areas in the world.
